Bug Juice

It's always good to have when you have a Jophie who likes to collect bugs. He's such a good little bug collector. A skill mastered by only a few I'm sure! ;)

Black Plague it is not and for that we are thankful but the Creepin' Crud it is.....
Lots of Snot and wheezing. Coughin' Jags and the standard ouchie tracheitis/upper respiratory kinda thing. You know A "Jophie Bug"

The little toad was so generous and decided to share with me. See what good manners he has?

AhhhhCHOOOOOOOOO!

Tammy and I were going to run him to WV to see his Ped on Friday but, she was too afraid to have him anywhere near the office so we worked it out over the phone.

Cefzil is the Bug Juice of choice and it seems to be working out quite nicely.

We also ordered up some of Jophies wonder drug also known as Atrovent which he responds to soooo nicely. I MUST remember to keep this stuff on hand. Nice thing it comes in a Duo-neb already mixed with albuterol. Not so nice I have to give Duo's every 6 and in between just plain albuterol which works out nebs every 3 hours around the clock. I had to bump his steroids back up for stress dosing and more importantly so he could UMMM..... breath. Not horribly high but enough that it will take some time to come down again. Oh well get ready for our little moon face Jophie and it's back to the Roid Rage once again. We have motrin round the clock and extra zofran with feeds so we can keep the little fella eating. Immunity boosters and extra Vitamin C are swimming in every water infusion. Every body in the pool! LOL

One nurse is on vacation and the other is working her little booty off tryin' to make sure we both remain among the living which works out to be one tuckered nurse and one tuckered momma who is running on about NO sleep since last Tuesday. OK so I've had "maybe" an hour power nap about 4 times in that period. Needless to say between taking care of him, sharing in his Jophie bug and lack of sleep this mommas butt is dragging. No its beyond dragging it's ON. THE. FLOOR.

BUT....I'd much rather this butt be on the floor in our house instead of in WV in the PICU thank you very much!

Jophie continues to show improvement with loads and loads of nasty goo shooting forth out of every orafice from the neck up AND in any direction he so pleases mind you. The word "DUCK!!" takes on a serious meaning when you hear it in this house! LOL

I suspect another round of antibiotics are going to be needed but, thats OK as long as he continues to improve. I'll do "whatever" it takes to keep him here at home SAFE away from all those deadly flu buggies floating around especially now since he's so vulnerable.

We had ourselves a shooting in my driveway on Thursday. Flu shots that is. Jophie, Anna, Laynie, Lexie, Lora, Katy and myself as we speak have immune systems that are in overdrive building up the coveted immunities that will ward off the"run of the mill" flu. Tammy is already protected as she was shot a few weeks ahead of us. Now to get Danny and Megan shot! ;)

We all get shot each year faithfully. The twins starting when they were 6 months old and Jophie and the rest of us for the past 8 years or so with no ill effects and NO FLU since we began our flu shooting quest. We must protect Jophie and ourselves. His life depends on it.

We do have another driveway shooting in store within the next couple weeks. H1N1 should be in hand by mid October. I can NOT wait to get a couple weeks under our belt knowing we have begun gaining our immunity to the "run of the mill flu" and then I'm even more anxious to start building against the other. If I've calculated correctly. By Thanksgiving or there abouts we ALL should be good an protected against all those nasty bugs.

Roll on Thanksgiving! :0)

Tammy is coming today and I can NOT wait. I "think" I'm on the mend. Still can't breath from all the stuffiness but, hoping that will soon be gone too! Still all weak and woosy but I can deal with that. The worse thing for me has been I couldn't take any benadryl or motrin because I need to stay awake. It's a constant flow of something into him and when I say constant I truly mean CONSTANT. That timer is earning it's keep this week ;)

It's less than an hour before another neb is due plus gotta stay on cough patrol. He has these little coughing jags when it's near a neb. Not your typical cough but rather a "I really have horrible diseased lungs and I might just not breath if I keep it up" kinda cough. We have to calm him to make him stop. Once he starts he doesn't know how to stop on his own hence EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. he needs someone.

OK this momma needs to try and grab a shower because I can NOT miss that neb and for goodness sake I mustn't forget the Bug Juice for my little bug collector! ;)

For those who ordered trach collars. They are done and ready to ship but I'm holding off till I can safely send them without any bug passengers on board. I know how careful I am and I suspect you all are just the same. They will be in the mail once all is clear and safe to do so ;)

Benefit update........

Sorry for the delay...

I'm busy busy working on trach collars and honestly still trying to recoup from the weekend. I can't seem to get enough Zzzzzzzzz's still!

Everyone had such a good time at the Benefit. The weather was beautfiul. The food was DELISH! The little ones played and played till they couldn't play no more. We had lots of familiar faces who always come out to support Jophie and we had a few new faces which was nice to see.

More love for Jophie ;)

The Smoker and the YUMMO food! Isn't it funny how men tend to congregate around meat when it's outside and on an open flame? LOL

Inflatables for the kiddos. Still not sure what they all were looking at?

Lots of Baskets for Auction. A HUGE thank you too all my friends who donated baskets be it local/from afar and yes even from across the pond! :0) The baskets were what made this event successful and will be included in Jophies Fall Benefits from now on.

EVERYBODY wanted this Tim Hortons Basket! See the big clothes basket to the left? That bugger was bought/money donated then tossed back into the auction to be resold a second time. YEP! That was fun ;)

This little guy was quite the popular fella too also being bought then tossed back to be resold for a second time. I just LOVED him! He was jointed all over making him ever so cute as he flipped and flopped around as though he were the real Tin Man. A local friend from Danny/Tammys church made this little guy. FanTABulous job wouldn't you say? ;)

There was lots of Cakes and other desserts. So much so we auctioned off a pie and one of the cakes that hadn't been touched! I'd show you but it was gone before I even knew it! LOL

And this little ole apple pie brought 18 dollars! Who woulda thunk? ;)

I tried ever so hard to get my grubby paws on one of these little blobs of orange deilishishness. The inside was an ever so moist orangy mound of heavenly filling coated with an even more delish orange bliss...Ahhh I think I have drool coming from my lips!! Before I knew it all that was left were traces of orange icing around the mouths of all the guilty parties! Sue you must make some more so I can try them! LOL

And of course we have all the bidders trying ever so hard to look uninterested while giving only the "slightlest" little wave of their paddles so as not to let the other bidders see just how badly they wanted some of these items. They weren't fooling me! LOL
The auctioneer was hilarious making for a fun auction and he donated his time to boot!

One thing I didn't manage to get a picture of and I'm kicking myself now was of the KIDS ONLY auction. It was absolutely ADORABLE! Those little ones thought they were soo big! Laynie ended up winning a huge mini washtub stuffed full of toys. Laynie picked out one toy she had been eyeballing for herself and then unselfishly turned around and gave every kid something from her loot because thats just Laynie. Way to go Laynie for sharing! ;0)

I did manage to get a few pictures of the kiddos playing some games

The Ducky Game...Sorry bout the pumpkin faces. Seeing as I didn't officially get permission to post full face views, your gonna have to just imagine how cute those little faces were. One thing I CAN assure you of is each and very one of them had the same look as Lexie on the right hand side! Oh please please please pick my number! hehe

And then there was the Hula Hoop Contest

See this little fella?

He Hulad and he Hooped and Hulad and Hooped till there was no Hula or Hoop left in any of the kids. In other words he BEAT THE PANTS off of them all!

The girlies especially were so disgusted! LOL

Trust me when I tell you ALL those girlies stomping back had the same "disgusted" look at Laynie! LOL

He is NOT still spinning that hoop! YEP! Lexie is still disgusted that a little boy was Hoopa Loopin them to shame! LOL

The bigger kids men played Cornhole and Horseshoes

Whilst three of the itty bitty ones conspired and made their escape while no one was looking then raided the prize box and ran! LOL

It was a fun day, everyone there had fun and in the end thats what counts

We didn't have the turn out we were hoping for but those who did come were there out of love for one small boy and because of them we now have reached a new level towards our goal.

Click on over to the Meals 4 Wheels page to see how much our little thermometer has climbed. Granted it's not going to buy his vehicle just yet but this momma is not in the "giving up" business.

We WILL succeed! Just not today :0)

So as not to leave anyone out. We want to thank every single person who had an involvement in the events of that day before/during/after/locally/from afar/and abroad! ;0)

Jophie and I thank you from the bottom of our little pea pickin' hearts! :0)

All my other friends in cyberland thank you so much for what you've done to help make this possible.... ;)

Many pictures of the day tomorrow evening but for now this momma needs to really catch a few Zzzzzzzzzz's...

Please pray Jophie feels well today. He's a bit out of sorts at the moment. The day looks to be a sunny one! We are so very thankful for that. There several other events happening today in OH, WV, and KY so please pray we have a good turn out and that we are successful!

Among the Thirsty......

New group!

My friend is absolutely in love with this groups new song. I LOVE it an awful lot too so I thought we'd share ;)

Go here:
http://www.amongthethirsty.com/

Scroll to the bottom where you will find a little player.

Scroll through till you get to the song......

"I'd need a Savior"

Quick! You don't wanna miss this one! :0)

Run like the wind and be blessed!

Trina and Jophie

“I'm a Pepper; you're a Pepper”

Wait...I don't even like that stuff :0)

I do however love me some Red Peppers especially when they are FREE!

Nearly 30 BUSHELS!!

So what do you do when you have nearly 30 BUSHELS of red peppers?

Well I'm so glad you asked :0)

You stuff em...

You dice em...

You slowly turn them into Spicey Cinnamon Red Pepper Butter! Yummo!

You run as fast as you can to the grocery store tomorrow to replace used up ingredients so you can stuff more making sure to not forget the ingredients you didn't have to finish the oh so yummy Red Pepper Jelly and Chrismas Relish! :0)

You cut up twenty hundred thousand more into nice little slivers perfect for munchin'....

You donate 26 bushels to neighbors, friends and family......

Then you try desperately to sleep all the while convincing yourself that NO those are NOT peppers dancing behind your eyelids nor are they peppers slowly jumping over fences! LOL

Somewhere in the armpit of Ohio many a redneck are feverishly cutting, dicing, slicing, boiling and baking peppers lest the rot before their very eyes....

Our freezers are filling
Our bellies will be full this winter

We are thankful for this bounty grown by unknown hands given unselfishly asking nothing in return....

On serious note:

3 days
3 beautiful children
3 little angels dancin' around the thrown

Please pray for the familes of these children taken from us much too soon by that evil beast known as Cancer

Heaven must be rejoicing to receive such precious babes!
^Alex^
^Reagan^
^Clay^

Tomorrow Tammy and I go to collect donations that Lora and I worked on Friday. I'll have more details soon. I didn't want to post or update the list just yet as we will know more tomorrow. We are also waiting comfirmation on something very important and necessary for the Benefit. Please pray this works itself out and for the few other things we haven't gotten fully ironed out yet...

A minor surgery........

It was a first of it's kind and that I can guarantee!

Peformed the surgery myself with no anesthesia and quite primitive on the deck with my hammer and nail! The funniest part was the cars going by and almost wrecking as they caught quick glimpses of me aimlessly hammering away at that mannis neck! hahaha

Bet NOBODY has a manni like mine.

Introducing Manni! The one and only special needs manniquin designed specifically with my little neck breather in mind. :0)

Jophies new blinged up medical gear:

Jophie loves his new bling all soft and cozy about his neck :0)

Gotta be stylin' even if you are a neck breather! :0)

If any of you mommies with little neck breathers are interested I'm working on halloween ones right now.

$20.00 each plus shipping

Just toss me an email at booboo2003@roadrunner.com and we'll talk :0)

Please watch for the next update as it will have very detailed information about Jophies Upcoming Benefit. I have updated the list under his flier to reflect recent donations. You can find that information by clicking the "Fall benefit 2009" in the right side bar.

Now I'm off to catch a few Zzzzz's before Lora gets here!

Harvest Moon.........

Ooooooky Spoooooky!

Which can only mean one thing.....

Fall/Winter is coming! Booooo Hooooooo...

I do love fall but winter......

Blah...UGH....Moooooans

I'm not sure about you but I don't even feel like we've had a summer. We've been in the pool 3 times and two of those times the water temperature was under 68! Brrrrr chill! I'm seriously lacking in saratonin which is not a good thing for me heading into winter.

I will say the last week has been wonderful filled with sunshine and blue skies! Tammy tells me we're going to have a loooooong fall so it won't be that bad. My negative attitude tells me otherwise but, I'm hopeful she's gonna be right.

Jophie and I are wingin' it alone this weekend. It's loras off Saturday and tomorrow is Tammys birthday. She did come by this evening to help me change Jophies trach collar and brought along her 2 little sidekicks. Thanks for coming by to help on your day off Tammy and for bringin' the girlies.....You'll never know what a bright spot those girlies put in my day....:o)

I have a bazillion and one things to do which is not a good thing for me. I tend to start twitchin' with the enormity of it all and next thing you know I'm slumped in my chair doing nothing.

Lists do not help.......In fact they make it worse because then I can actually SEE what was once one itty bitty page has now become the entire notebook! ACK!

Don't get me wrong....I do make lists but for the normal/basic everyday things NOT all the junk I have floatin' around in my head that needs attention.....

Oh well.....I'm fairly certain something will get done just not all that needs done

Jophie will be fed and medicated
I'll be fed and medicated(If I don't forget) LOL

Guess thats it......

Big list eh? LOL

Trust me you don't want to see the "real list"

Make sure you to click the harvest moon picture so you get the "up close and personal" view of it! You don't wanna miss it cause it's really cool!

OK..Gotta Scoot!

Brave Pants........

Well I finally snatched those brave pants out of the closet. Grabbed a pair for Jophie too :0)

And so it begins...
Another steroid reduction....

Now lets just pray that Roid Rage stays away!

Lacey: You asked, "Do they keep this man on steriods for his lungs?"

Yes to the lungs but also for his adrenal glands.

Jophie has always been given steroids(Usually IV Solumedrol)during illnesses so he was no stranger to them. The first time he went on what I would call "massive" amounts was when he was 7. That hospital stay was around 6 months. All food was stopped at that time and he had surgery to place his Mic-key and the fundoplication.

Infectious disease placed him on massive amounts of steroids to heal his very damaged/sick lungs. He had literally been breathing food/liquid for years but it had has went undetected as he continued to pass all his feeding studies. During that stay infectious disease diagnosed him with Staph E. and Enterobactor not only in his blood stream but IN HIS LUNGS. It was determined the ONLY way for him to have these in his lungs would be if he were refluxing and then aspirating directly into his lungs. He would be diagnosed with silent aspiration/silent reflux after using a more advanced feeding study as opposed to the technique used when he was younger.

The steroids would remain on board as we desperately tried to hasten the healing of his very ill lungs..

Slowly we were able to wean him from those steroids and only during illnesses was he placed back on them withus always able to slowly wean him back to "his normal" until 5 years ago.

Again he was hospitalized for a very long time and once again massive doses of steroids were tossed on board to save his life. That ordeal began in July just over five years ago and I was told he would not come home with us. Once again Jophie proved them wrong! ;0)

Today we are finally nearing his "old baseline". The weaning schedule is a slow process but necessary to prevent dangerous and often deadly complications.

We continue on a path of constant "Increase/Reduction" regimen. We increase(stress dose) during times of stress/illness/surgeries or anything that would cause extra stress on his body. We have to do this because the steroid use to save his lungs and his life has also caused his adrenal glands to fail. Vicious cycle eh?

The adrenals are really imporant(as I've learned from this experience) releasing the hormone needed during "fight or flight" times.

EX: You see a snake at your feet. You FREAK! I know I would ;) Your heart races/your breathing increases/you sweat(This is flight/flight) Your body will then begin trying to "calm" itself unless of course that snake is now crawling on your foot! LOL

But, for example sake lets just say it crawls away at which time your breathing begins to slow/heart rate slows and all systems begin going back to normal. Because of the adrenal damage Jophies body will no longer do this normally so the steroids do it for him. Without them he would die.

As far as the lungs are concerned...

The steroids are still necessary creating a wicked double edged sword indeed!

I finally managed to get "The List" up at the bottom of Jophies flier as well as button linking to it on the sidebar. Much more about that in my next post but for now feel free to look.

Jophies Closet is also up and running but I still haven't had time to toss anything in there. It's photographed and ready I just need some time! There are some really nice items from Jophies closet and even the twins are putting their share in to help Jophie :0) This too has a new button linking from the side bar but you won't see much more than an empty page with a piddly little "test" post! LOL

We're really enjoying this sunshine! The temps have been perfect with gorgeous blue skies! Jophie made it out 2 days so far this week. By Wednesday we all needed a bit of rest so we just let him have a lazy day sleeping so he could catch up. The fresh air and sunshine sure does make him tired! A good tired though.

We did manage a decent fall shoot. I have tons including some more BUG pics! Yes I'm turning into this "Freaky about bugs" photographer. LOL

This momma is pooooooped so for now I'm leaving you with only a couple of my smiley little guy....

Enjoy!

Finally........

The flier is at the printers and we actually have an online copy. I will be adding a link over in the sidebar soon so it can easily be found.
http://silentangels4me0.tripod.com/FallFundraiser2009.html

I did removed the contact information on purpose for the online version. In the event you would like to help be it from afar or locally I can be reached at meals4wheels@yahoo.com If you don't hear back from me in a timely manner you can also contact Tammy at crazymamma1966@hotmail.com
I will do my best to get back with you as soon as possible but please remember Jophie does keep us quite busy :0)

I do have a 2 lists compiled of the items already donated as well as what we still need. If I wasn't so tuckerd out I would have added that information to the bottom of the flier. Hopefully, it can be included in the next few days.

Jophie is still doing well...All smiles of course and we sure like that! :0)

The time has come for yet another steroid reduction......UGH! I so hate these but, I can honestly say the last drop saw very little of that nasty Roid Rage. We saw a bit but nothing compared to what we have seen in the past and for that we were all quite thankful....

Now let's just pray the next reduction goes as smoothly as the last. I'll be sure to let you know when I put my brave pants on and begin the drop. Lets just keep this between us though K? Jophie does tend to get all bent outta shape when we take away his drugs. :0)

Omgosh! It's almost 7 a.m which can mean only one thing......I've forgotten to take my benadryl and here I sit pretty as you please totally oblivious to the world waking up around me...

Guess this momma is heading towards the bed. I must try and catch a few Zzzzz's before Lora gets here......

At least one or two ;)

Shoo-fly.............

I was cutting grass Saturday. The dew was falling and the grass was getting wetter by the minute. Every few steps the lawn mower would die and then I'd groan because I knew that once again I'd have to repeat that torturous tug on the starter. My body was weary and every tug made it worse. I'd been at it for nearly 3 hours and honestly didn't think I had one tug left. I was just finishing up the lower end of my yard and the end was finally in sight when suddenly, I started getting dive bombed.

Thud! Right to the back of my head!

I ducked and moved a little faster.

Wack! Right on the top of my head this time!

By this point I'm zigging, zagging and ducking my way to the upper end of the yard forgetting about the weariness that nearly overtook me only minutes early.

This went on for the next 20 minutes and at one point the evil flying black blob dive bombers followed me to the upper end at which point I panicked just a bit. Well ALOT. You see I was attacked by a hornet when I was younger. That evil bugger got in my shirt and showed me no mercy nor I to him! Several stings and bites later I managed to kill that sucker. I was sick for weeks. Yes weeks! So you my fear is not unfounded.

I did manage to finish the yard free of any bites or stings from the dive-bombing mystery bug. I was however covered in mosquito and fly bites. At least they have the nerve to sit boldly while they feed on you. Regardless, I still had no clue what those flying black blobs were. I was however sure of one thing. I had ticked them off royally and in no uncertain terms they were warning me to go away! I gladly granted their request.

The next day I went out camera in hand ready to shoot the first thing that caught my eye.

I thought these would do just fine....

Pretty aren't they? They're weeds. Yep weeds. Funny how if we look a bit closer that ugly duckling turns right into a swan.

I was talking to them you know? The weeds and the flowers. I didn't realize it till my neighbor yells over and asks what in the world I was doing and WHO was I talking to? Yep I suppose I've lost it talking to weeds and all but hey, it's still a pretty weed wouldn't you say?

Now these are not weeds but rather my flowers we planted this summer...

Check out these Orange beauties...

How bout yellow?....

By this point I'm pretty drenched. It was late evening and the humidity was so high you literally could see moisture lying on your skin and on the flower petals as evidenced in the yellow flower. If you can't see the droplets just click on the picture and you should be able to see it in the larger version.

Pretty cool huh?

I'm just ready to go back inside when what do you think happens?

Wack! Thud! Oh no you didn't!? My mystery evil black blob flying critters were back and with a vengence! It seems that once again I had angered the flying black blobby gods.

I ran into the house and grabbed myself a weapon. Well a fly swat....I needed something to wack these critters away from me. When I got back outside I notice several have landed on my vans top. I sneak up to the van and finally I know what these mysterious flying critters were.

Horse flies! And let me tell you these suckers were BIG! They were all hanging onto the luggage rack and I swear I saw the van lift clean off the ground! LOL

I wasn't very successful other than to spook the whole lot of them away. The next morning I go out to look again cause well now I'm facinated with this colony of horse flies. What do you suppose I find? One lonely horsefly just sitting as pretty as you please on my deck. He was almost daring me to come near. I went and grabbed my camera because this little guy was poised to fight. He wasn't going to budge no matter how much bigger I was. I seriously was almost touching the thing with my lens!

This was only a baby compared to the others!

How freaky is that???! He has watermelon eyes! Ewwww! And, you have to enlarge that picture so you can see his "fang-like" teeth! That my friends is what they bite you with. No wonder it hurts like the dickens!

After many different poses he decides to fly fly away. I can honestly say there was no love loss at all.

I was just turning to go back in the house and what do I see next?

This little guy......And ya know what? He wasn't afraid either. I swear he was posing too! A little to the right. Ah yes left is my better side. Look how hairy that thing is??

Or maybe a full out front view? How bout some action in those wings? What? You think your tryin' out for the part of the Mothman?

OK so I've had enough of all things flying, stinging and pollenating so I retreat back to our castle and head straight for the kitchen. A girls gotta eat ya know! ;0) Besides, it relaxes me so much to cook.

Not long after I deposited this on the counter all gooey and ready for me to devour!
Mmmmmm! Blueberry Cobbler!

And yes it's completely sugar free and figure friendly. One more to add to our many recipes. :0)
For a little bit of Jophie news. He is well and seems to have weathered the Roid Rage storms. Dare I mention another reduction? Nahhh...We won't say the words out loud lest Jophie gets wind of it. Only in our heads will we know the truth. :0) I will however, be sure to let you in on the secret when I decide to do another reduction. :0)

The fundraiser is coming right along. We now have a venue! Yay! It's set it stone which means I can now give our flyer to the Hog man so he can have them printed.(The printing was donated by the way)

I will be posting the flyer on Jophies sight very soon along with a list of what we have and what we still need. We have many of the big items out of the way but still have quite a few things that need taken care of and/or arranged/picked up/workers ect....

We received another themed basket this week from my missionary friend Laura in Japan. Thanks Laura! We love all the goodies and think it's perfect for the raffle/auction!

Again, anyone who would like to help in any way just toss me an email and those who are local you can call or toss me an email as well. More details to come very soon.

And with that my friends this momma needs to grab some Zzzz's....

A Bullet Kinda Night.........

  1. Jophie has been trying out all colors of the rainbow for the past few days starting with a bit green under the gills leading up to a lovely shade of Dusky blue then altering shades of white and red. He's also been testing his monitor alarms evidentally to make sure it will in fact record heart rates well into the 100's and Sats low enough to keep the best Limbo player on their toes. Ahhh fun Times!
  2. Beat my grass into submission it also beat me to a pulp. Hope I can move tomorrow
  3. Swam with the girlies Friday(Only 3rd time this summer cause its been so rainy/cold...It's gonna be a looooooooong winter)
  4. Finally managed to get Pictures of girlies in graduation Gowns/Caps and for the first time ever I screwed up the pictures royally. I barely salvaged one. UGH
  5. Girlies all start School Monday
  6. Crazy people grabbed man walking on road/dragged him to cemetary up the road/doused him with "something" then set him on fire. Had to be lifeflighted. 2nd/3rd degree burns. Lovely neighborhood we live in(So I thought)
  7. Crazy looney bird neighbor was finally evicted for good(At least I don't have to worry bout that mess now)
  8. Without going into detail....I've Spent the last couple weeks running my tail off and sitting/sitting/sitting in this office or that office signing this paper and that paper which in the long run was worth it but sure didn't help me worry any less. (Nothin' like flyin' by the seat of your pants)
  9. Finally got paid(I think I can breath now.....For at least a couple more weeks)

Remembering the Sunshine..........

Because this summer I'm pretty certain it's left Ohio to spend its vacation on some remote island FULL OF SUNSHINE no doubt......

I do vaguely remember it's existance....

And just to celebrate what used to be and to give me some healthy reminders of what is hopefully to come let's plaster this Amazon Jungle Rainforest with some Sunshine!!

Here....

And here......

OK so it wasn't so sunny on this day but what a great time he had looking at the world without those shades....

Had to work slowly to get those shades off....

Ta Da! No Shades and I'm still cool!

Now thats what I call some sunshine!

Seeee even Jophie is excited......

Who wouldn't after drinking up a yummy cupfull of this?

Now how's that for bringing some sunshine to our Amazon Jungle??!
I'm not sure what's brighter the actual sunshine or Jophies smiles! :0)

For now I'm gonna bask in the glow coming off this page from Jophies smile and thank God just one more time that he's been able to actually "go out" and enjoy the sunshine rather than just see glimpses of it peeking through his bed railings.

Walking in his SONshine and praying for some SUNshine.....
